What Is IPL?
Lumecca is a powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. After just one treatment, patients notice significant improvements.
Lumecca improves the appearance of:
Age spots (red/brown pigmentations)
Vascular lesions such as facial telangiectasias (spider veins) and poikiloderma Rosacea (redness)
Freckles
Sun damage
The most common treated are areas regularly exposed to the sun. This often includes the face, neck, décolletage and hands. Lumecca IPL is three times stronger than other IPL systems. You will see a difference after one treatment however a course is usually recommended one month apart.

If taking aspirin daily call salon. Avoid antihistamine or painkillers 24hrs before We cannot treat anyone using sunbeds We cannot treat if you have active coldsore Please stop using active skincare or retinols 3 days/72hours before patch test
During treatment, there will be a bright flash of light from Lumecca and a sensation on your skin that feels like a light snap from an elastic band. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subside within an hour. Over the next 24-48 hours you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week afterwards the pigmented lesions flake off, leading to an evening out of skin tone. After treating vascular lesions, you may see the vein blanch and disappear or a colour change in the vessel, which dissipates after a few days.
