Bio-Meso PDRN is an advanced skin treatment based on scientific evidence and clinical results. An Alternative to traditional microneedling with reduced downtime and discomfort with results similar to 1.0mm needle depth. Bio-needling does not use needles, it uses natural marine sponges, they work similarly to microneedling by creating mico wounds in the skin to stimulate skin's self repair mechanisms. Use of Retinoids or strong acids Stop using retinoids at least 7-10 days before receiving a professional grade spicule treatment. For stronger prescription retinoids eg. 0.05-0.1% tretinoin you must stop using for 14 days, After treatment do not resume retinoids for at least 14 days and only once the skin has completely recovered. If you have used oral isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past you must wait at least 6 months due to impaired wound healing Recent Dermatological procedures. To enable us to proceed with your treatment safely you must leave 4 weeks depending on the procedure post chemical peel, microneedling, laser resurfacing wait until the skin has fully healed, please ring or call into salon for advice.
Contraindications are : Active skin infections eg Herpes simplex or fungal infection, Inflamed or severe cystic acne and active rosacea as the skin maybe aggravated by the mechanical penetration of the spicules. Skin Allergies or hypersensitivity or individuals with known allergies to ingredients eg spicules, growth factors, PDRN, Salmon or highly sensitive skin may react negatively. Autoimmune skin disorders conditions like Lupus, Psoriasis or eczema may flare up with stimulation from the spicules. Skin cancers or precancerous lesions Recent sunburn or tanning, sun damaged or freshly tanned skin maybe more prone to irritation and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
