What is L.E.D Light Therapy?

LED Light therapy treatment is a form of LED Phototherapy that uses specific wavelengths of light stimulate natural process of your skin. Unlike lasers or IPL, it doesn't damage the skin or generate significant heat- It's designed to encourage your skin cells to function more effectively.

 

How the different light wavelengths work

Red Light

This is the wavelength most associated with anti-aging and skin rejuvenation.

  • Stimulate fibroblasts to produce more collagen and elastin
  • Improve skin firmness and elasticity
  • Reduce the appearance if fine lines
  • Enhance circulation, giving skin a healthier glow

Blue Light

  • Helps reduce inflammatory breakouts
  • Can decrease excess oil production over-time

Near-infrared light

This penetrates deeper into the skin

  • Calm inflammation and redness
  • Accelerate tissue repair
  • Support wound healing
  • Reduce recovery time after cosmetic treatments
  • improve overall skin resilience

Pre / Post treatment
• Avoid going to a tanning bed for 2 weeks prior to treatment.
• Avoid extended sun exposure for 10 days prior to treatment.
• Delay use of medication which can cause photosensitivity.
- Post treatment
• Avoid going to a tanning bed for 2 weeks post treatment.
• Do not exfoliate skin excessively.
• Delay use of medication which can cause photosensitivity.
• Avoid direct sun exposure and excessive heat. Apply sun block product thoroughly on the skin.
• Hydrate the skin.

Contraindication
- Pregnancy — studies have not sufficiently assessed the risk to pregnant women and their babies,
therefore it is not recommended.
- Cancers(over the tumorsite)
- Epilepsy — certain light frequencies can trigger an epileptic seizure
- Thyroid condition — if you suffer from a thyroid condition or are on thyroid medication
- Cautions with medications because of light sensitivity
